**Job Title**: Specialist, Risk and Privacy **Role Summary** Support enterprise and clinical risk management, ensuring compliance with provincial and federal privacy laws (PHIPA, PIPEDA, FIPPA). Identify, assess, mitigate and monitor risks while enhancing organizational resilience. Provide privacy expertise, develop policies, manage data for risk analyses, and collaborate with internal and external partners to embed a culture of safety and accountability. **Expectations** - Undergraduate degree in a health‑related discipline or equivalent health focus. - Certified Information Privacy Professional – Canada (CIPP/Canada) or comparable certification. - Minimum 3 years of experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in risk or privacy functions. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to leverage automated processes to reduce human error. - Proven experience gathering high‑quality data, interpreting findings, and communicating results to diverse stakeholders. - Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation skills. - Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development, accuracy, and reliable attendance. **Key Responsibilities** - Proactively identify, assess, mitigate and monitor enterprise and clinical risks. - Provide specialized privacy guidance to ensure adherence to PHIPA, PIPEDA, FIPPA, HIP policies, and privacy policy frameworks. - Develop, review and update risk management and privacy policies, procedures, and training materials. - Collect, analyze, and compile risk and privacy data; design automated solutions to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency. - Collaborate with internal units and external partners (e.g., Regional Privacy Resource – LHSC) to coordinate risk and privacy activities. - Prepare and deliver clear, well‑structured presentations to management, staff, and regulatory bodies. - Conduct privacy and risk audits, incident investigations, and root‑cause analyses. - Support a continuous improvement mindset by identifying opportunities for process enhancement and documentation. **Required Skills** - Data analysis, problem solving, process automation. - Knowledge of PHIPA, PIPEDA, FIPPA, IPC, HIM policies and procedures. - Advanced written and verbal communication; presentation delivery. - Stakeholder engagement and collaboration. - Independent decision‑making, critical thinking, detail orientation. - Reliable attendance and professional conduct. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a health discipline or related field. - Certified Information Privacy Professional – Canada (CIPP/Canada). ---
