Job Title: Cybersecurity Trainer
Role Summary:
Deliver a 30‑day, hands‑on cybersecurity training program focused on SOC operations, log analysis, incident detection, Windows and Linux forensics, threat intelligence, and preparation for the CyberOps Associate exam.
Expectations:
- Freelance engagement of approximately 30 days, starting February 23.
- Provide all lecture materials, case studies, and assessments for five weekly modules.
- Engage learners in practical exercises and real‑world scenarios.
- Offer feedback and support to participants throughout the course.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and deliver instructional content on SOC functionality, SIEM rule configuration, and incident qualification.
2. Conduct log analysis workshops and guide participants through detection strategies.
3. Lead forensic training for Windows systems and foundational cryptography concepts.
4. Facilitate Linux forensic methods and network traffic analysis.
5. Teach threat intelligence fundamentals, IOC creation, and practical application, culminating in CyberOps Associate revision.
6. Assess learner progress, provide constructive evaluations, and adjust instruction as needed.
Required Skills:
- Proven expertise in Blue Team operations, SOC workflows, and defensive security practices.
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, log correlation, incident response, Windows and Linux forensics, threat intelligence, IOC development.
- Strong pedagogical ability with experience delivering hands‑on, case‑based training.
- Field experience in SOC, CERT, or MSSP environments strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and adaptability.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, EC-Council CEH (defensive), CISM, or CISSP preferred; certifications related to SOC or forensic analysis are a plus.
