**Job Title**
Manager, Infrastructure & Cloud Services
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, deployment, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise data center and cloud environments for a law‑firm setting. Develop strategic roadmaps, oversee budgets, ensure compliance, and manage a team of engineers and vendors to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable technology services.
**Expectations**
- Provide 24/7 operational leadership for all infrastructure and cloud platforms.
- Maintain service‑level agreements (SLAs) for availability, performance, incidents, and problem resolution.
- Align technology initiatives with business objectives, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive cost‑effective procurement, budget planning, and financial reporting.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Plan and execute infrastructure strategy, including data center, virtualization, storage, networking, backup/DR, and public/private cloud services.
- Develop and enforce architecture standards, disaster‑recovery plans, purchasing policies, and cloud‑service provisioning procedures.
- Manage end‑to‑end lifecycle of servers, operating systems, enterprise storage, application servers, monitoring tools, and cloud workloads.
- Analyze performance metrics, benchmark against industry standards, and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and scalability.
- Prepare business cases and cost–benefit analyses for major infrastructure investments.
- Lead a cross‑functional team of engineers, ensuring delivery against agreed SLAs and project milestones.
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, service agreements, and procurement processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and document business and technical requirements for new solutions.
- Oversee annual budget forecasting, capital expenditure approvals, and invoice processing.
**Required Skills**
- Strong expertise in servers/OS, virtualization, enterprise storage, networking, monitoring/observability, backups/DR, and cloud services.
- Knowledge of Microsoft, Cisco, Juniper, NetApp, Commvault, Veeam, HPE, and related ecosystems.
- Deep understanding of data‑privacy laws, security practices, and compliance in a legal environment.
- Strategic planning, budgeting, and financial stewardship.
- Project management aptitude (delivery within scope, schedule, budget); PMP knowledge or certification is advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and team leadership.
- Ability to make decisive, effective decisions under pressure, especially during incidents or maintenance windows.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
- Preferred certifications: MCSE, CCNA, ITIL; PMP knowledge or certification is an asset.
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience managing enterprise infrastructure and cloud services in a security‑ and compliance‑focused environment (law firm or professional services).
- Proven track record of DR/BCP implementation, major infrastructure migrations/upgrades, and vendor management.
