Job title: DevOps Engineer
Role Summary: Lead critical backend and data engineering initiatives, driving architectural decisions for microservices-based systems, ensuring robustness, performance, and security across cloud and on-premises environments.
Expectations: Senior-level professional with 10+ years of experience, strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder collaboration. Proven track record in coordinating development teams, managing escalations, and delivering mission‑critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical direction for backend and data engineering projects.
• Mentor and coach developers to foster continuous skill development.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality practices, and security guidelines.
• Design, evolve, and maintain microservices architectures for trading and data‑driven applications.
• Gather and analyze functional/technical requirements with Product Owners and stakeholders.
• Plan, break down work, and supervise team members throughout delivery.
• Build, optimize, document, deploy, and maintain backend components using CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide post‑release monitoring, user support, and maintain stable operations.
Required Skills:
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and cybersecurity best practices.
• Expertise in microservices design, API development, and relational/no‑SQL databases.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), and monitoring/observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to handle complex escalations and customer situations.
Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as Kubernetes Certified Administrator (CKA), Certified DevOps Engineer – CI/CD, and cloud architecture certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
• Security certifications (CCSP, CISSP) are a plus.
