Job Title: Security and Network Engineer
Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures for a high‑trust financial client, ensuring resilience, compliance, and continuous improvement through automation.
Expectations: Deliver secure network architecture, manage Palo Alto firewalls and proxy systems, resolve complex incidents, automate configurations, and document processes while communicating effectively with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and evolve secure network segmentation and Internet‑facing services for financial services.
- Configure, patch, upgrade, and optimize Palo Alto firewall clusters and proxy infrastructure.
- Analyze complex traffic flows and resolve incidents across firewalls, routing, and secure application services.
- Automate network configuration and deployment pipelines using Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and Ansible.
- Produce technical documentation, procedures, and project reports; represent the network group in meetings.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of network/security engineering in large, complex environments (banking or critical infrastructure).
- Hands‑on expertise with Palo Alto PanOS (clusters, IDS/IPS, SSL decryption, sandboxing).
- Cisco knowledge (Umbrella, ISE, IPSec, Wi‑Fi) and policy management with Algosec & ServiceNow integration.
- Strong command of IPv4/IPv6, BGP, SSL/TLS, SSH, Syslog, SNMP, LDAP, Radius, HSRP/VRRP.
- Automation experience with Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, or Ansible.
- Fluent technical English; native‑level proficiency in French or Dutch.
- Ability to translate security policies into technical solutions, work independently, and collaborate cross‑functionally.
Required Education & Certifications:
- PCNSE certification or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant network or security certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISSP) preferred.
