**Job Title** Area Sales Manager **Role Summary** Lead new business development and account expansion within a defined Canadian territory for industrial automation solutions. Drive revenue growth through strategic selling, relationship building, and effective pipeline management. **Expectations** - Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas. - Develop a disciplined sales calendar and maintain consistent prospecting activity. - Demonstrate self‑motivation, initiative, and a results‑oriented mindset. **Key Responsibilities** - Establish and manage a territory portfolio, targeting OEMs, distributors, integrators, and contractors. - Design and execute sales strategies to capture new business and grow market share. - Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through regular in‑person and virtual engagements. - Utilize Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office to track leads, opportunities, and performance metrics. - Collaborate with marketing, product, and technical teams to tailor solutions and secure deals. - Maintain up–to‑date knowledge of industrial wiring, cable, and automation technology across key verticals (robotics, automotive, food & beverage, material handling). - Travel within Canada as needed (0‑50 %) to conduct client visits and close sales. **Required Skills** - 1–3 years of sales experience (inside or outside sales). - Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office. - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a 4‑week sales calendar. - Self‑motivated “go‑getter” attitude with a hunger to learn and exceed targets. - Ability to engage a diverse client base and communicate complex technical solutions effectively. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (preferred). - Relevant sales or technical certifications (e.g., Certified Sales Professional, industry‑specific product certifications) are an advantage.
