Job Description
Job title: Purchaser – Transport and Rental Family with Operator Role Summary: Lead the purchasing strategy for transport and rental equipment and operator services across the Indian Ocean (Réunion, Mayotte, Madagascar, Mauritius) and the Antilles & Guyane region. Own the end‑to‑end procurement cycle, from market analysis and supplier qualification to negotiation, contracting, and performance monitoring. Drive value creation, cost optimisation, and responsible procurement (RSE) while ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders and territorial buyers. Expactations: - Minimum 3–5 years of procurement experience, preferably in public works, construction, or manufacturing. - Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate multi‑year contracts. - Strong analytical acumen and data‑driven reporting capabilities. - Excellent organisational and project management skills. - Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and work collaboratively on the field. Key Responsibilities: - Map and maintain the portfolio of transport and rental families, identifying market opportunities and best sourcing models. - Gather internal needs, define specifications, evaluate risks, and develop procurement strategies in partnership with end‑users. - Prepare and execute tender processes (AO), negotiate terms, and author contractual documents. - Collaborate with territorial buyers to implement plans, monitor supplier progress plans, and drive continuous improvement. - Produce regular performance reports and KPI dashboards for the portfolio. - Champion the group’s sustainable procurement policy by identifying and deploying innovative, environmentally responsible solutions. Required Skills: - Advanced negotiation and contract drafting. - Proficient in procurement information systems and ERP environments. - Data analysis and reporting (akin to a Procurement Data Analyst). - Strong communication, synthesis, and decision‑making. - Fluency in English (professional level). - Leadership in a cross‑functional context, autonomy, and results focus. Required Education & Certifications: - Minimum Bac +4/5: Business school, engineering school, or Master’s in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Construction Management. - Certification in procurement or supply chain (preferred).
