Job title: Machine Learning Engineer
Role Summary: Lead the growth of a multidisciplinary data team and design, build, and deploy production‑level AI solutions for internal and client projects, while mentoring data scientists and shaping architectural decisions across cloud environments.
Expactations: Demonstrate advanced technical expertise, project‑management acumen, clear communication, and a collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset. Drive results in a fast‑moving consulting setting, balancing client delivery with internal AI product development.
Key Responsibilities: • Build and scale ML/AI production pipelines (deep learning, CV, NLP) for clients and Sia products.
• Lead architectural choices for AWS, GCP, or Azure deployments; design robust, scalable systems.
• Mentor data scientists, translating research models into production‑ready solutions (parallelization, tuning, testing, deployment).
• Deliver trainings, run internal meetings, and coordinate external events (conferences, blogs, press releases).
• Participate in client workshops, workshops, and technical discussions.
• Drive knowledge sharing and best‑practice adoption within the growing data science team.
Required Skills: • 2‑4 years building production‑quality ML pipelines; deep understanding of ML fundamentals and specialization in CV, DL, or NLP.
• Expert Python coding, plus proficiency in Scala, C++, or Java.
• SQL/PostgreSQL database experience; Unix/CLI, Git, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) and big‑data (Spark, Hadoop, Databricks) expertise.
• Proven coaching or mentoring experience; strong communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English required; French and Dutch speaking needed; travel readiness.
Required Education & Certifications: • MSc (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, AI, Embedded Systems, or related field. • Relevant certifications in cloud platforms or data engineering are a plus.
