**Job Title** Summer Intern **Role Summary** An 8‑week hybrid internship program in Washington, DC (twice weekly onsite, three days remote) designed to provide exposure across Communications & Public Affairs, Finance & Accounting, Federal Government Affairs, and Intellectual Property & Security. Interns will support departmental projects, gather data, and contribute to ongoing initiatives while developing professional skills. **Expectations** - Commit to 8 weeks of full‑time work (approximately 40 hours per week). - Deliver high‑quality work with minimal supervision. - Maintain professional conduct and adhere to internal policies. - Demonstrate effective time‑management and communication skills. - Complete all required training and meetings. **Key Responsibilities** - Assist in drafting and editing public‑facing documents, press releases, and internal communications. - Support financial data entry, reconciliation, and reporting tasks. - Conduct research on federal regulations, policy developments, and legislative activity. - Aid in the preparation and filing of intellectual property documentation and security reviews. - Attend and contribute to departmental meetings and briefings. - Perform general administrative duties (scheduling, filing, event coordination). - Collaborate cross‑functionally to meet project deadlines. **Required Skills** - Strong written and verbal communication. - Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Ability to learn and apply new software quickly (e.g., Google Workspace, basic accounting or IP tools). - Analytical mindset and attention to detail. - Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently or as part of a team. - Effective time‑management and organizational skills. - Adaptability to hybrid work environment and changing priorities. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program related to communications, finance, public policy, law, technology, or a related field. - Minimum 2nd‑year standing (e.g., sophomore or junior). - No specific certifications required; relevant coursework in data analysis, policy analysis, or IP law is an asset.
