Job Description
**Job Title** Director of Security – South **Role Summary** Lead and oversee the security program for all assigned facilities, ensuring compliance with safety, bio-terrorism, and disaster protocols. Direct a customer‑service‑focused team, manage budgets, develop policies, and maintain workforce competency to protect patients, staff, and assets. **Expectations** * Manage and develop a high‑performing security team. * Plan, supervise, and evaluate security operations to meet departmental goals. * Ensure compliance with hospital, DNV, and industry standards. * Prepare and administer annual budgets and human‑capital plans. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, implement, and control all security operations across facilities. * Develop orientation, training, and ongoing education programs to maintain staff competence. * Lead quality monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives. * Draft, update, and enforce security policies and procedures. * Manage annual and capital budgets; allocate human resources effectively. * Serve as the primary liaison for communication within the department and with external stakeholders. * Respond to bio‑terrorism threats, disaster events, and workplace violence incidents. * Apply and manage restraint device protocols appropriately. * Maintain physical readiness and ability to respond swiftly to emergencies. **Required Skills** * In‑depth knowledge of security, criminal investigation, and multi‑facility operations. * Strong leadership, motivation, and team‑building capabilities. * Excellent verbal and written communication, including policy development. * Negotiation and conflict‑resolution skills with staff, management, and public. * Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and drive decision‑making. **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice (minimum). * 3–5 years of security or law‑enforcement experience; 5–7 years of progressive leadership preferred. ---
