Job Description
**Job Title** Senior Physical Security Specialist **Role Summary** Lead the deployment, operation, and maintenance of advanced IT‑based physical security systems across perimeter, internal, and facilities domains. Act as the primary technical authority for all security hardware and software, ensuring optimal performance, rapid incident response, and alignment with IT security best practices. **Expectations** - Manage complex security systems and troubleshoot issues swiftly. - Coordinate with users, vendors, and internal teams to resolve hardware/software problems. - Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and performance audits. - Deliver concise reports on system status and budget impact to executive leadership. - Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to regulatory and policy requirements. **Key Responsibilities** - Implement and oversee perimeter, internal, and facility security (including data centers, utilities, HVAC, water, fire prevention). - Perform daily operational checks and validate system effectiveness. - Resolve incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis, and coordinate repairs (break/fix). - Manage third‑party vendor activities for maintenance, repair, and construction. - Support equipment protection, decommissioning, and secure configuration. - Provide situational and environmental risk evaluations. - Train staff on security procedures, software, and zero‑trust privilege management. - Respond to security breaches, disasters, and emergent threats. - Generate and present key performance metrics and strategic updates. - Participate in budgeting, strategic planning, and new system design. **Required Skills** - 3–5 years of security systems administration. - Expertise in Genetec Video Management, Genetec Omnicast, Bosch Intrusion Systems, and related platforms. - Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities. - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication. - Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and exercise discretion with confidential information. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. - Preferred certifications: ASIS Security, Genetec Omnicast, Genetec Synergist. - Familiarity with data governance and CPTED principles (desired).
