Job Title: Lead Software Engineer
Role Summary: Senior engineering leader responsible for guiding a small, high‑performing team in building and scaling a mission‑critical backend platform that processes massive datasets to detect and mitigate online threats.
Expectations: Deliver high‑availability, data‑intensive systems on AWS; drive technical excellence through mentorship, TDD, and CI/CD; collaborate cross‑functionally to define product roadmap; maintain rigorous observability, monitoring, and security practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead, coach, and grow a small elite engineering team.
2. Architect and maintain scalable, resilient AWS‑based backend services with Kubernetes orchestration.
3. Implement observability, monitoring, and incident response pipelines.
4. Mentor team members in code quality, TDD, and modern CI/CD workflows.
5. Partner with product, design, and operations to integrate APIs and services, upholding clean architecture standards.
6. Contribute to product roadmap, prioritization, and strategic decisions alongside senior leadership.
7. Continuously assess and improve team performance and delivery processes.
Required Skills:
- Proven engineering management in complex, distributed system environments.
- Hands‑on expertise in Golang, AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.), and Kubernetes.
- Experience designing and deploying data‑intensive, mission‑critical backend systems.
- Strong knowledge of TDD, CI/CD, containerization, and observability best practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder alignment, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Structured approach to performance measurement and process optimization.
Nice to Have: OpenSearch or PostgreSQL on AWS; TypeScript/frontend integration; cyber threat intelligence or large‑scale data correlation exposure.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
