Software Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, and ship full‑stack systems that power an AI‑driven healthcare automation platform focused on benefit verification and prior authorization. Work across backend APIs, frontend interfaces, and AI integration layers to deliver performance, reliability, and user‑friendly experiences.
**Expectations**
* Minimum 1 year production experience in full‑stack development.
* Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and React.
* Hands‑on experience building scalable RESTful APIs and handling data pipelines.
* Strong product sense, attention to detail, and ownership mindset.
* Ability to collaborate with AI, product, and engineering teams.
* On‑site presence in Menlo Park at least 3 days/week.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Build, test, and deploy Python‑based backend services that orchestrate LLM models and process healthcare workflows.
* Implement responsive React + TypeScript front‑end components for clinicians and operations staff.
* Integrate external AI services, manage API versioning, and ensure high availability.
* Enhance observability, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines to support rapid iteration.
* Scale architecture to support 100× transaction growth and real‑time analytics.
* Translate user feedback and product insights into technical improvements and feature enhancements.
**Required Skills**
* Languages: Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, React.
* API design: REST/GraphQL, async handling, rate limiting.
* Cloud: GCP or AWS fundamentals, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes or similar).
* DevOps: CI/CD, log aggregation, monitoring, automated testing.
* Data: JSON, relational/NoSQL database interactions, secure handling of PHI/PII.
* Soft skills: strong communication, cross‑functional collaboration, self‑directed problem solving.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
* Certifications in cloud platforms or security (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer) are a plus.
