Job Description
Job Title: Renewables Project Development Intern Role Summary: Intern will support the Renewables team by conducting research, data analysis, and project coordination to advance the portfolio of renewable energy projects. The role offers hands‑on exposure to greenfield development, M&A, and portfolio monitoring while building industry knowledge in finance, policy, and environmental impact. Expectations: - Complete a 2‑day orientation and participate in weekly team meetings and institutional webinars. - Deliver on assigned research, data‑collection, and analytical tasks within established timelines. - Engage actively in cross‑functional projects, including a capstone project with other interns. - Maintain high attention to detail and proactive communication with senior staff. - Demonstrate adaptability to remote and on‑site work as required. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct market and policy research to support renewable project identification and development. - Gather, clean, and analyze project data using Microsoft Office tools. - Assist in the financial modelling and due‑diligence of potential greenfield projects and M&A opportunities. - Monitor portfolio project performance, update dashboards, and prepare progress reports. - Participate in cross‑departmental meetings, contributing insights and draft presentations. - Lead or support special projects assigned by the department as needed. Required Skills: - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). - Strong analytical and quantitative reasoning abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Meticulous attention to detail and organizational capability. - Curiosity and proactive learning mindset in renewable energy development, policy, and finance. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or in‑person setting.
