Job Title: Regional Sales Manager, Northeast
Role Summary:
Lead the retail sales function for Oatly’s Northeast region, driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening brand presence across grocery, wholesale, and distributor channels. Collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver cohesive execution, manage key relationships, and oversee trade, promotion, and forecasting activities.
Expectations:
- 4+ years in retail sales, sales management, or grocery CPG roles.
- Proven track record managing large retail accounts (e.g., AHOLD, Market Basket, Wakefern, NY Metro).
- Experience coordinating with brokers and third‑party distributors (UNFI/KeHE/DPI).
- Strong analytical ability using syndicated data (SPINS, Nielsen, IRI) & PowerPoint/Excel.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and trade‑math skills.
- Motivated, proactive, and comfortable with 50% travel to meet customers and attend trade events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & execute retail sales strategy with VP, cross‑functional teams, and partners.
- Build and sustain trust‑based relationships with key retailers, brokers, and distributors.
- Design and implement distribution, promotion, and trade‑spend plans aligned with corporate goals.
- Produce accurate sales forecasts, distribution targets, and profitability reports.
- Maintain comprehensive customer plans (pricing, promotion, strategy) and coordinate internal communications.
- Lead category review cycles; prepare data‑driven sales presentations for account reviews.
- Oversee demand forecasting, shipment planning, promotional management, and shopper marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with Sales Strategy, Category Management, Customer Service, Demand Planning, and Shopper Marketing for unified execution.
- Set broker performance goals, conduct regular check‑ins, and visit market sites at least 1–2 times per region annually.
- Represent Oatly at trade shows, conference calls, training, and team off‑sites.
- Share best practices and support culture of continuous improvement within the retail sales team.
Required Skills:
- Retail sales and grocery CPG experience with key national distributors.
- Strong broker management and account‑based selling skills.
- Data‑driven decision making (SPINS, Nielsen, IRI, Excel).
- Advanced PowerPoint presentation development.
- Proficiency in trade math, promotional planning, and forecasting.
- Excellent written, verbal, and virtual communication.
- Organizational rigor, prioritization, and remote‑work adaptability.
- Creativity and critical thinking to solve business challenges.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
