Job Description: **Job Title:** Software Engineer – Automation & AI **Role Summary:** Hands‑on software engineer reporting to the CTO, responsible for designing, building, and iterating internal business applications, automation workflows, and applied‑AI solutions. Works in a fast‑moving, green‑field environment, translating loosely defined business needs into functional tools and providing occasional technical support for created applications. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality code with rapid iteration based on user feedback. - Operate independently on ambiguous problems, seeking guidance as needed. - Communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders. - Continuously learn and apply new frameworks, AI services, and automation tools. - Contribute to establishing development standards and best practices. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain internal web apps, dashboards, and workflow tools. - Implement role‑based access, authentication, and data‑driven features. - Integrate third‑party APIs, webhooks, and internal systems. - Build automation pipelines and incorporate LLM/AI capabilities (summarization, recommendations, agents). - Prototype experimental tools and evaluate emerging technologies. - Provide technical support and maintenance for owned applications. - Document architecture, workflows, and decisions for future maintainability. - Collaborate directly with CTO on architecture and code reviews. **Required Skills:** - 2–5 years of software development experience. - Proficiency in Python (strong preference) and at least one modern language. - Experience with API design/integration and data‑centric applications. - Familiarity with building/internal web applications, dashboards, or tooling. - Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction. - Strong problem‑solving curiosity and rapid learning ability. - Excellent written and verbal communication; receptive to feedback. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience). *Nice‑to‑Have (Bonus) Skills:* multi‑framework experience, modular/API‑first architecture, SQL/database modeling, AI/LLM API integration, Power BI/Power Automate familiarity, startup or small‑team experience.
