**Job title:** System Security Engineer **Role Summary:** Responsible for the design, installation, repair, and maintenance of security systems—including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms—across multiple sites. Conducts site assessments, delivers custom solutions, provides client training, and documents all activities while ensuring compliance with safety standards. **Expectations:** - Minimum 2 years experience as a Security Systems Engineer or similar. - Full valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally. - Strong problem‑solving and independent work ethic. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions. - Proactive attitude toward continuous learning and staying current with industry developments. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Install, repair, and maintain CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems. 2. Conduct site assessments, determine security requirements, and recommend appropriate solutions. 3. Communicate with clients to understand needs, provide tailored solutions, and offer training/support on system use. 4. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly. 5. Ensure all installations comply with relevant safety standards and regulations. 6. Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and service calls. 7. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices. 8. Travel to various national sites to deliver efficient service. 9. Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. **Required Skills:** - Expertise in installing, repairing, and troubleshooting CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems. - Knowledge of relevant safety standards and security industry regulations. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication, client liaison, and training skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently in a fast‑paced environment. - Proficiency with technical documentation and configuration tools. - Willingness to travel nationwide and hold a full UK driving licence. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum 2 years of professional experience in security systems engineering. - Preferred technical certifications such as CCTV Installation, Security System Integration, or equivalent. - Relevant vocational qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/IT systems) are advantageous.
