Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Associate – Compliance **Role Summary:** Support the Head of Compliance in delivering regulatory compliance, conduct risk management, and ethical culture across a UK‑regulated financial services organization. Provide advisory services, monitoring, reporting, training, and operational compliance support on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. **Expectations:** - Deliver accurate, timely compliance advice to business units. - Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of financial services regulations and communicate changes. - Produce high‑quality monitoring, assurance and management information for senior committees. - Ensure effective training delivery and record‑keeping. - Manage sensitive information with discretion and meet tight deadlines. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist in developing and maintaining compliance infrastructure, processes and controls. - Provide day‑to‑day regulatory advice; liaise with internal teams, external advisers and industry bodies. - Track emerging regulatory developments and issue appropriate communications. - Administer the Compliance Monitoring Plan, conduct reviews and sampling, and report findings to Executive Committee and Board‑level committees. - Prepare monthly/quarterly compliance MI for ExCo, Board, and Risk Management & Conflicts Committee. - Maintain compliance registers (Conflicts of Interest, Breaches, Complaints). - Design, administer and deliver regulatory and enterprise risk training (including induction) using VinciWorks platform; maintain training records. - Support financial crime prevention compliance, including policy maintenance, BWRA/RCSA components and MLRO Annual Report. - Manage personal account dealing, securities trading records, Information Barriers and Restricted List. - Review and approve marketing and promotional materials for compliance with Financial Promotions and Communications policies. - Conduct “four‑eyes” quality control checks on Investment Origination and Portfolio KYC files, escalating issues as needed. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience in a compliance role within a UK‑regulated financial services firm. - Strong written and verbal communication; ability to engage with diverse stakeholders. - High attention to detail; methodical and organized work style. - Capability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines under pressure. - Discretion in handling confidential information. - Self‑motivated, proactive, able to work independently and collaboratively. - Familiarity with investment management or investment banking environments (desirable). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Relevant compliance or regulatory certifications (e.g., ICA Diploma in Compliance, ICA Advanced Certificate, or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.
