Job Description: **Job Title:** Senior Software Engineer – Security Cleared **Role Summary:** Lead the design, development, and secure deployment of high‑impact software solutions in collaboration with security researchers, ensuring robust protection against modern threats. **Expectations:** Deliver architecturally sound, production‑ready code, mentor junior staff, and maintain continuous improvement of security practices within the engineering team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, write, test, and maintain secure, high‑performance software components. - Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and implement threat‑modeling best practices. - Collaborate closely with security researchers to identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities. - Integrate automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and cloud deployments. - Produce technical documentation, knowledge‑base articles, and security guidelines. - Mentor and coach junior engineers on secure coding and design patterns. **Required Skills:** - Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience. - Proficient in at least one mainstream language (Java, C#, Python, or Go). - Deep understanding of secure coding principles, OWASP Top 10, threat modeling, and vulnerability mitigation. - Practical experience with static/dynamic analysis tools, file‑based and network‑based threat detection. - Strong background in CI/CD, container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. - Active Security Clearance at SC level (or willingness to obtain via Defence Vetting). - Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CEH, GSEC, or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.
