Job Description
**Job Title:** Laboratory Technician **Role Summary:** Conduct quality control, assembly, and testing of food‑spoilage detection sensors. Manage inventory, maintain a clean workspace, and record test data using spreadsheets. Support hardware team in prototype development and shipping of finished devices. **Expectations:** - Reliability: follow through on commitments. - Organization: keep tools, supplies, and lab areas orderly. - Cleanliness and safety: uphold health & safety protocols. - Curiosity: learn new processes and troubleshoot issues. - Hands‑on, routine-oriented: perform repetitive tasks with precision. **Key Responsibilities:** - Execute quality control checks and prepare products for shipment. - Follow, refine, and document test and assembly procedures. - Track inventory, reorder supplies, and communicate with suppliers to avoid delays. - Record test results and lab work accurately in Google Sheets. - Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment (laser cutters, 3D printers, UV sterilizers). - Dispose of waste safely and ensure a tidy, sterile work environment. - Assist teammates, adapt to new responsibilities, and contribute to process improvements. **Required Skills:** - Experience in a lab, workshop, or technical production environment. - Ability to manage stock and supplies efficiently. - Proficiency with step‑by‑step instruction adherence and improvement. - Comfortable using common tools or machines; training provided on company equipment. - Computer literacy for data entry, spreadsheet maintenance, and basic software use. - Strong teamwork, independence, and reliability. **Required Education & Certifications:** - No formal university degree required. - Prior experience in production, assembly, or logistics of small parts strongly preferred. - Basic knowledge of health & safety regulations is advantageous.
