**Job Title**
Communications Officer
**Role Summary**
Lead and implement the organization’s integrated communication strategy across external, internal, digital, and event platforms, ensuring alignment with prevailing political and public agendas while maintaining consistent, high‑quality messaging and brand integrity.
**Expectations**

- Foster collaboration with partners, media, NGOs, and internal stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Strategic Communication**
- Design and execute global communication plans in line with policy objectives.
- Coordinate site‑wide digital revamp projects with external agencies.
- Develop and monitor editorial calendars, content standards, and brand guidelines.
2. **External Communication**
- Draft press releases, opinion pieces, dossiers, and talking points.
- Build, maintain, and grow relationships with journalists, media outlets, and opinion leaders.
- Identify and secure public visibility opportunities.
3. **Digital & Social Media**
- Manage LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook presence with cohesive editorial suite.
- Analyze performance metrics, refine tactics, and report insights.
4. **Internal Communication**
- Disseminate key messages and policy positions to staff and volunteers.
- Produce internal briefing material and support learning initiatives.
5. **Event Management**
- Coordinate annual strategic events, including narrative development and speaker preparation.
- Oversee partner agencies (creative, production, logistics) and post‑event reporting.
6. **Cross‑Functional Support**
- Contribute to major campaigns and cross‑team projects, ensuring consistent communication themes.
**Required Skills**
- Exceptional written and oral communication.
- Deep knowledge of political, historical, and public‑policy contexts.
- Proficiency with digital tools, CMS, and social‑media platforms.
- Strong project‑management, prioritisation, and crisis‑management skills.
- Team‑player with discretion, ethical judgment, and a focus on quality.
- Experience coordinating multi‑agent, multi‑media projects.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Media Studies, Political Science, or equivalent (≥ 4/5 years).
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in institutional, political, or non‑profit communications (excluding internships).
