Job Description
**Job Title:** Salesforce Administrator **Role Summary:** Administers, optimizes, and secures Salesforce platforms for advancement operations, ensuring integration of departmental and enterprise-wide systems. Focuses on platform design, configuration, and alignment with Advancement workflows (e.g., fundraising, gift processing). **Expectations:** Lead technical tasks to maintain system efficiency, scalability, and security. Analyze business needs to recommend technology solutions. Ensure compliance with institutional and industry standards. Deliver projects within budget and timelines. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design complex systems solutions for Advancement workflows (prospect management, campaigns, fundraising). - Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and infrastructure applications per best practices. - Oversee upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure system stability and data recoverability. - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement security evaluations. - Lead technical teams in analysis, design, and implementation of scalable solutions. - Integrate Salesforce with vendor-managed packages (e.g., UC Innovation’s ascend). **Required Skills:** - Expertise in Salesforce platform administration, configuration, and integration. - Strong understanding of Advancement workflows (annual giving, gift processing, donor management). - Proficiency in technical documentation, system analysis, and project management. - Ability to bridge functional requirements with technical design. - Experience with managed packages, API integration, and data modeling (SQL preferred). - Leadership in guiding teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field. - Salesforce Administrator Certification (Salesforce Admin or Advanced Admin preferred). - 3+ years implementing/delivering Salesforce solutions in Advancement or similar contexts. - Experience with enterprise resource planning or donor management systems advantageous.
