Job title: IT Business Continuity Specialist
Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain enterprise‑wide business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) strategies that embed resilience into digital transformation, cloud migration, automation, and virtualization initiatives. Lead exercises, audit support, and continuous improvement to ensure alignment between IT, engineering, and product teams.
Expactations: • Deliver BC/DR plans for new product releases and ongoing operations. • Influence cross‑functional teams to embed resiliency requirements into roadmaps and architecture decisions. • Provide leadership in tabletop and event‑based resilience testing, training, and metrics reporting. • Drive corrective actions on identified operational gaps and support continuous program improvement. • Manage BC tools and facilitate SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other certification audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies and BC policies for product life‑cycle stages.
- Partner with IT, Engineering, and Product teams to define resiliency requirements and prioritize risks.
- Embed resilience into cloud migrations, automation, and virtualization efforts.
- Plan, coordinate, and debrief tabletop exercises, event simulations, and training sessions.
- Identify operational gaps, risk‑rank priorities, and lead corrective/preventive actions.
- Produce BIA/TIA analyses, metrics, and continuous improvement dashboards.
- Manage BC tools (e.g., Fusion Framework, Riskonnect) and ensure data integrity.
- Support product certification audits (SOC 2, ISO 27001) and maintain audit readiness.
- Stay current on industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Required Skills:
- 4+ years of experience in Enterprise Resiliency, Business Continuity, or related fields.
- Solid technical foundation in infrastructure, cloud, SaaS platforms, and storage architecture.
- Strong BC knowledge specific to IT environments.
- Project management experience with cross‑functional deliverables.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder influence abilities.
- Ability to risk‑rank priorities and align business and technical teams.
- Comfortable functioning in fast‑paced, competing‑priority environments.
- Familiarity with BCM tools (Fusion Framework, Riskonnect) and corporate IT/security controls.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, Information Security, or related discipline (preferred).
- Preferred certifications: CBCP, MBCP, CRISC, or similar (any equivalent accepted).
