**Job Title** Senior Research Analyst **Role Summary** Lead behavioral research to inform electoral service design, creating elector personas, synthesizing data, and translating insights into actionable strategies for an evidence‑based, accessible election system. **Expectations** - Report to the Manager of Research & Insights. - Co‑lead persona development and research strategy. - Utilize large data sets and advanced analytics to uncover motivation, trust, accessibility, and participation patterns. - Convert findings into clear recommendations and communication materials. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and conduct mixed‑methods research (surveys, qualitative methods, desk research, literature reviews). - Integrate primary and transactional data; apply thematic, rapid insight, and segmentation techniques. - Develop and roll out elector personas grounded in behavioral, attitudinal, and experiential data. - Review and refine research methodologies, survey instruments, analytical approaches, and reporting practices. - Create frameworks for research question design, response interpretation, and insight reporting. - Contribute to performance measurement frameworks for elector experience and service quality. - Advise on inclusive, ethics‑compliant research design and build research literacy within the division. - Monitor behavioral science and civic engagement trends to guide future planning. **Required Skills** - Expertise in behavioral science, applied psychology, behavioral economics, or public policy research. - Design‑thinking / human‑centered design experience in research or service improvement. - Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods. - Advanced statistical modeling and data science skills (Python, R). - Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, R‑Shiny). - Strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights. - Collaborative, cross‑functional teamwork and partnership skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in psychology, behavioral science, public policy, social science, or related field. - Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible applied research or behavioral insights experience. - Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
