**Job Title:** Actuarial / Data Analyst Intern **Role Summary:** Support the Finance Division’s migration of legacy SAS processes to modern data tools. Analyze existing SAS scripts, document business logic, assist in rewriting code in Python and SQL, perform validation tests, and create dashboards to monitor migration progress and data quality. Collaborate with business teams to ensure functional continuity. **Expectations:** - Demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail. - Quickly learn and apply Python, SQL, and Power BI to replace SAS workflows. - Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders. - Deliver clear documentation and reliable test results. - Proactively identify improvement opportunities and suggest solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Review and analyze existing SAS scripts, data flows, and dependencies. - Document current processes and underlying business rules. - Convert/port SAS code to Python (pandas, numpy) and SQL equivalents. - Conduct coherence tests comparing SAS outputs with new implementations. - Build and maintain migration and data‑quality dashboards (Power BI). - Work with business units to validate results and ensure functional continuity. - Support the internship mentor in skill development and project integration. **Required Skills:** - Ability to read and understand SAS code. - Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, etc.) and SQL. - Basic knowledge of data engineering concepts (ETL, automation). - Experience with Power BI for reporting/dashboarding. - Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; capable of transversal collaboration. - Initiative‑driven with problem‑solving mindset. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Currently enrolled in a Master’s program (Bac + 4 / M1) or equivalent in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. - No specific certifications required; practical coursework or projects in SAS, Python, SQL, or BI tools are advantageous.
