Full Stack Developer (Java/Angular)

Job Description

Job Title: Full Stack Developer (Java/Angular) Role Summary: Full stack developer to design, develop, test, and maintain Java and Angular applications for a federal government client. Works within an agile team on complex, multi‑platform systems, handling production issues, integrations, and enhancements. Must support and mentor junior developers while ensuring high code quality and efficient CI/CD pipelines. Expactations: - Deliver functional software on schedule with minimal defects. - Communicate progress and technical insights clearly to stakeholders. - Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Angular and Java ecosystems. - Mentor less experienced team members and enforce coding standards. - Uphold security and compliance requirements, including eligibility for Public Trust Clearance. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement new features and major enhancements for Java‑based microservices and Angular (v8+) front‑ends. - Debug production problems and propose sustainable improvements. - Coordinate conversions, integrations, and migrations of legacy systems. - Build and maintain automated unit tests and participate in CI/CD pipelines. - Evaluate and recommend application software packages, integration tools, and testing frameworks. - Provide technical support and troubleshooting for non‑programming issues. - Collaborate with DevOps to deploy services to cloud environments (AWS). Required Skills: - 8+ years of full stack development experience. - Strong proficiency in Angular (v8+) and Java (Spring/Servlets). - Experience leading Angular JS upgrade projects. - Expertise with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and solid SQL. - 5+ years Agile experience using Jira or equivalent. - 5+ years CI/CD experience (Git, Bamboo, Jenkins, SonarQube). - Hands‑on with microservices, REST APIs, automated unit testing. - DevOps exposure – Docker, Kubernetes, JMS (e.g., IBM MQ, ActiveMQ) preferred. - Excellent written and verbal communication; teamwork and mentoring skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). - Eligible to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
