Job Description
**Job Title** Software Engineer — Release, CI/CD Engineer **Role Summary** Design, implement, and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines and software release processes for cross‑platform commercial products. Own the end‑to‑end build lifecycle, improve developer experience, and ensure stable, timely deliveries. **Expectations** - Take full ownership of the product build and release system. - Deliver CI/CD improvements that increase reliability, maintainability, and scalability. - Collaborate with engineering and product teams to accelerate development velocity. **Key Responsibilities** - Own and evolve the existing Jenkins‑based CI/CD platform. - Debug, stabilize, and optimize build and release workflows for macOS, Windows, and Linux. - Automate build, packaging, and distribution pipelines using Python scripting. - Modernize CI/CD infrastructure, including containerization with Docker and advanced build tools. - Integrate packaging tools (WiX, macOS Packages) into release workflows. - Partner with development teams to craft best‑practice developer tooling and workflow guidelines. - Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot failures, and implement improvements. **Required Skills** - **Core Competencies** - Proficient with Jenkins (setup, configuration, plugin management). - Strong Python skillset for automation and tooling. - Deep understanding of CMake for C/C++ build configuration and troubleshooting. - Experience building and testing cross‑platform software. - **Preferred / Bonus Experience** - Hands‑on knowledge of macOS, Windows, and Linux build environments. - Familiarity with C/C++ build systems (Ninja, Conan). - Experience with Docker containers and CI/CD orchestration. - Proficiency with IDEs (Xcode, Visual Studio 2022, VS Code). - Exposure to installer creation tools (WiX Toolset, macOS Packages). **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - No specific certifications required, but experience with CI/CD tooling and build systems is essential.
