Job Description
**Job Title:** Finance Assistant – 6‑Month Fixed Term **Role Summary:** Support the Legal Cashier and Counsel teams by processing high‑volume financial transactions, managing receipting, bulk payments, cost recoveries, VAT reversals, and court fees. Maintain accurate financial records and assist with expert‑related administrative tasks. **Expectations:** - Deliver accurate, timely data entry and transaction processing. - Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with legal and financial standards. - Provide reliable support to business stakeholders, ensuring high‑quality service. **Key Responsibilities:** - Daily cash allocation for BACs. - Sort and receipting of physical and online post. - Process bulk payments and cost recoveries. - Manage VAT reversals and other financial reversals. - Enter and update expert fees in the ledger. - Process statements to update expert information. - Onboard new experts, verifying bank details. - Run monthly payment schedules, including court fees. - Perform general administrative support for the Legal Cashier team. **Required Skills:** - Exceptional attention to detail. - Ability to manage large volumes of data in fast‑paced environments. - Strong organisational and initiative‑driven mindset. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and Teams. - Familiarity with SharePoint/OneDrive and shared mailbox workflows. - Effective collaboration and communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - High‑school diploma or equivalent (no specific certification required).
