Job title: Senior Software FX Options Engineer
Role Summary: Lead design, development, and enhancement of FX options pricing, hedging, and electronic distribution systems. Collaborate with FX trading desk, IT, and production support to deliver reliable, high‑performance software solutions.
Expectations: 5–10 years of relevant experience, proven ability to architect and reengineer large‑scale platforms, and excel in high‑pressure environments. Must possess strong business acumen in banking options, effective stakeholder communication, and willingness to perform hands‑on development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement FX options pricers, pricing and hedging algorithms, and electronic distribution services.
- Prototype and deliver rapid solutions for front‑office and IT requests.
- Author design documents, functional specifications, unit tests, and component builds.
- Provide third‑line technical support and participate in production releases, including out‑of‑hours coverage.
- Engage in sprint planning, estimation, and status reporting to project management.
- Reengineer existing platforms to improve functionality and performance.
Required Skills:
- Advanced Java (including Swing UI, multithreading, JVM tuning).
- Windows Server administration, configuration management, and network troubleshooting.
- Scripting (PowerShell, batch), SQL, and familiarity with FIX protocol.
- Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and experience in sprint planning.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with challenging stakeholders and thrive under pressure.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Finance, or related field.
- Postgraduate study in advanced computing, mathematics, or statistics is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications in Java SE, Agile Scrum Master, or equivalent are a plus.
