**Job Title:** Head of Market Insights
**Role Summary:**
Lead customer insights strategy for a global commerce and fintech organization. Own the learning agenda, manage a multidisciplinary research team, and translate seller and buyer data into actionable insights that shape brand, product, sales, and marketing strategy.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver influence-level insights to CMO, PMM, Sales, Design, and Product leaders.
- Drive rapid, AI‑accelerated research cycles that inform high‑impact decisions.
- Maintain global brand health, creative testing, and panel programs.
- Build and scale research processes that meet quarterly OKRs across product and growth.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Serve as strategic insights partner to executive leadership and support brand, marketing, and sales ELT.
2. Define, communicate, and execute an insights roadmap aligned to product, brand, sales, and growth priorities.
3. Lead foundational studies (segmentation, market sizing, whitespace) to inform positioning and go‑to‑market.
4. Own global brand health, creative‑testing, and panel research programs, linking metrics to business outcomes.
5. Produce compelling, data‑driven deliverables and present recommendations to VP/C‑level audiences.
6. Coach and develop a quantitative and qualitative research team, fostering experimentation and continuous learning.
7. Manage vendor relationships, research governance, and budgets.
8. Collaborate with UXR and analytics to deliver integrated, cross‑functional insights.
9. Integrate AI tools (LLM summarization, synthesis, automation) into research workflows.
**Required Skills:**
- 12+ years in B2B sales, marketing, or consumer insights; 5+ years leading high‑impact research teams.
- Deep expertise in quantitative (segmentation, MaxDiff, conjoint, survey design) and qualitative (ethnography, concept testing) methods.
- Proven ability to influence brand positioning, creative effectiveness, and product launches through storytelling.
- Strong project management with simultaneous multi‑project execution, detail orientation, and bias for action.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills for VP/C‑level audiences.
- Proficiency in AI and automation tools (ChatGPT, Claude, LLMs) for research acceleration.
- Experience with global research (UK, Australia) and syndicated research tools is a plus.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, Statistics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Professional certifications in market research (e.g., Certified Market Research Analyst, EICAR, IRSA) are desirable.
