Job Description
Job title: Business Analyst – Murex Market Risk Role Summary: Collect and analyze business requirements, design front‑to‑risk Murex solutions (market risk modeling, PL Explain, stress tests, etc.), author detailed functional specifications for development teams, plan and track project activities, coordinate testing and UAT, report progress to stakeholders, maintain internal documentation, liaise with the Murex vendor on enhancements, and participate in update/patch projects. Expactations: • Functional expertise in non‑linear products, pricing, and risk modeling. • Mastery of Murex front‑office modules (MRA/MRB, UDRM, PLVAR, Reporting, Datamart, Simulation Screens, etc.). • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills. • Team‑oriented with high engagement and dedication to delivery quality. • Advanced proficiency in English (minimum B2). Key Responsibilities: - Gather, validate and document business requirements from end users. - Design front‑to‑risk Murex solutions and translate them into functional specifications. - Plan development activities, track timelines, and ensure on‑time delivery. - Coordinate and oversee functional testing, UAT, and defect resolution. - Communicate status, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders. - Update and maintain internal and user documentation. - Work with the Murex vendor on feature requests and participate in upgrade/patch initiatives. Required Skills: - Finance: non‑linear products, pricing, and market risk modeling. - Murex: front‑office modules (MRA/MRB, UDRM, PLVAR, Reporting, Datamart, Simulation Screens). - Technical: advanced Excel, SQL. - Project management: requirement elicitation, specification writing, schedule planning, testing coordination. - Communication: clear, concise, and stakeholder‑focused. - Language: English – advanced level. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline. - Professional certifications are an advantage (e.g., CFA, FRM, PRINCE2, Murex training).
