Job Description
Job Title: Commercial Finance Business Partner Role Summary: Act as a finance partner to the commercial and operational teams, delivering insight, analysis, and support to drive profitable growth and strategic decision‑making. Expectations: • Provide commercial impact analysis and actionable recommendations. • Influence cross‑functional stakeholders and present financial insights to executive leaders. • Ensure accuracy of forecast, budgeting, and reporting. Key Responsibilities: - Revenue, pricing and margin management. - Support new product development (NPD) financial implications. - Collaborate with demand planning to validate plans and financialise assumptions. - Provide weekly sales process support, forecast review and variance commentary. - Identify forecast gaps, collaborate with Sales on recovery plans. - Align Sales budgets and long‑term plans with business strategy. - Review month‑end performance, deliver accurate reporting, product margin analysis, and trade investment KPIs. - Conduct monthly balance‑sheet reviews with Sales to mitigate accrual exposure. - Deliver ad‑hoc commercial analysis as required by senior finance leadership. Required Skills: - Advanced financial analytics and variance analysis. - Strong presentation skills to non‑financial executives. - Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems with planning modules. - Excellent report building, data interpretation, and storytelling. - Influential communication, stakeholder management, and persuasion. - Structured, systemised approach to day‑to‑day issues and projects. - Commercial mindset, interrogative attitude, keen eye for detail, hands‑on capability. Required Education & Certifications: - Studying for or holding ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent finance qualification.
