**Job Title:** Head of Infrastructure & Service
**Role Summary:**
Leads the organization’s infrastructure estate, modern workplace, and IT service delivery, reporting to the CTO. Drives cloud migration, defines strategy and roadmap, oversees end‑to‑end technology services, and ensures scalability, reliability, and cost optimisation across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
**Expectations:**
- Proven senior leadership in infrastructure and service management for medium to large enterprises.
- Demonstrated success managing modern cloud‑first environments and large technical teams.
- Strong strategic mindset aligned with business, digital, and security objectives.
- Ability to manage budgets, vendor relationships, and drive continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Define and own cloud, infrastructure, and service strategy aligned with business priorities.
- Lead transition to scalable, resilient platforms; oversee modern workplace, hosting, networks, platforms, and shared services.
- Own incident, problem, and service management processes; drive continuous service improvement.
- Manage capacity planning, lifecycle management, and technical debt reduction.
- Execute infrastructure change initiatives: upgrades, migrations, platform transformations.
- Control service and infrastructure budget, investment planning, run‑cost optimisation, and value tracking.
- Manage strategic vendors and service providers to ensure performance and value for money.
- Lead, develop, and retain a multi‑disciplinary infrastructure and service team; build capability across cloud, workplace, platform, network, and service management.
**Required Skills:**
- Leadership experience in infrastructure/service roles (medium/large scale).
- Management of day‑to‑day IT operations and technical teams.
- Expertise in Azure cloud infrastructure, migrations, and hybrid environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 modern workplace solutions.
- Strong knowledge of networking, communications, and security technologies.
- Experience with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering practices.
- Vendor management and budgetary control.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and change management abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred certifications: Microsoft Azure (e.g., AZ‑900, AZ‑104, AZ‑303/304), ITIL Foundation/Practitioner, PMP or PRINCE2, CISSP or related security certification.
