**Job Title** Technology Industrial Placement **Role Summary** A 12‑month hands‑on placement focused on Technology and Cybersecurity operations. Candidates will gain experience across emerging technology domains, support projects, develop technical skills, and network with senior leaders in a multinational telecom environment. **Expectations** - Complete a full academic year of placement within a core emerging technology area. - Transition from academic learning to practical, project‑based work. - Demonstrate initiative, resilience, curiosity, and a growth mindset. - Build confidence and employable skills that support the final year of study and post‑graduation career. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Participate in day‑to‑day Technology and Cybersecurity functions. 2. Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of technology projects. 3. Conduct research, data analysis, and coding tasks to support operations and product development. 4. Present findings and project progress to cross‑functional teams. 5. Attend mentoring sessions, workshops, and knowledge‑sharing events with senior leaders. 6. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Tech and Cybersecurity teams. **Required Skills** - Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity principles or relevant technical background. - Proficiency in programming or scripting (e.g., Python, SQL, Bash). - Experience with data analytics, data visualization, or statistical analysis. - Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑moving, global environment. - Resilience, curiosity, and confidence to question and propose solutions. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current undergraduate student in the second year of a degree in Cybersecurity, Data Science, Computer Science, IT Engineering, or related field. - Placement to commence in summer 2025 and complete by summer 2027. - No mandatory certifications required; awareness of industry standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, CISSP, CompTIA Security+) is an advantage.
