Job Description
Job title: Heavy Goods Vehicle Inspection Engineer Role Summary: Conduct field-based vehicle inspection audits for heavy goods vehicles, public service vehicles, and motorised handling equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and support client compliance and improvement. Expectations: • Complete inspections and audit reports to high safety and quality standards. • Meet productivity and time‑management targets. • Maintain data integrity and confidentiality in electronic systems. • Build customer relationships and provide practical, cost‑effective solutions. • Attend training, meetings, and support the Regional Operations Manager. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and organise work days and proactive member contact. • Carry out HGV/PSV/MHE inspections to IRTEC and relevant testing standards. • Deliver clear, accurate inspection reports and documentation. • Update electronic records and protect data security. • Engage with members to explain regulatory changes and improvement actions. • Attend required training and meetings; assist manager with additional duties. Required Skills: • Strong technical knowledge of HGV/PSV testing standards. • Excellent communication, customer‑service, and presentation skills. • Self‑motivated, independent, and highly organized with time‑management abilities. • Proficient with IT systems and new digital platforms. • Valid driving licence (Category C/HGV or D/PSV) with (or support for) appropriate occupational licence. Required Education & Certifications: • NVQ/SNVQ Level 2 or above in Heavy Vehicle Craft Studies (C&G) or equivalent. • Vehicle inspection qualification to IRTEC standards. • Professional body membership desirable.

**Job Title** Trainee Administrator – Apprenticeship Administration **Role Summary** Support the entire learner journey by managing apprentice onboarding, data accuracy, compliance and stakeholder communication. Gain a Level 3 Administrative Apprenticeship while delivering high‑quality administrative services across the apprenticeship programme. **Expectations** - Complete the Level 3 Administrative Apprenticeship within the agreed timeframe. - Maintain accurate learner and employer data in digital systems. - Deliver timely and compliant apprentice recruitment, onboarding and assessment support. - Produce regular progress reporting and ensure safeguarding, Prevent and Health & Safety standards are met. **Key Responsibilities** - Update and validate learner and employer records using designated digital platforms. - Engage stakeholders (learners, employers, trainers) to support them throughout the apprenticeship cycle. - Act swiftly on apprenticeship leads, manage the enrolment process and nurture opportunities to completion. - Deliver information, advice and guidance sessions to learners and employers. - Administer contractual agreements, onboarding activities and exam booking logistics. - Create and distribute monthly progress reports to senior teams. - Monitor inboxes, calendars, workshop schedules and system updates to keep operations running smoothly. - Enforce safeguarding, Prevent and Health & Safety procedures at all times. - Participate in continuous learning and development activities, including CPD record‑keeping and regular meetings. **Required Skills** - Strong verbal and written communication; ability to build positive relationships. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with aptitude for digital systems. - Accurate and consistent application of established processes and procedures. - Self‑directed, organised and able to manage multiple tasks independently. - Enthusiastic, professional, and a dependable team player. - Keen to learn, develop and progress within the apprenticeship framework. **Required Education & Certifications** - Level 3 Administrative Apprenticeship (or equivalent ongoing apprenticeship). - Basic literacy and numeracy competencies. - Completion of relevant safeguarding and health & safety training (as required).
