**Job Title:** AWS DevOps Engineer (Security‑Clearance Required)
**Role Summary:**
Senior DevOps professional responsible for operating, securing, and evolving AWS‑based and government‑grade on‑premise environments. Provides Level‑3 production support, ensures compliance with strict security standards, and drives automation, observability, and CI/CD excellence for critical national infrastructure services.
**Expectations:**
- Maintain 24/7 availability of platforms with on‑call rotation.
- Deliver secure, compliant infrastructure aligned with change‑release governance.
- Proactively reduce technical debt and report status to senior leadership.
- Enable data‑driven decisions through monitoring, testing, and automation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Operate and continuously improve AWS services (EKS, RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache, IAM) and secure on‑premise systems.
- Lead L3 production support and non‑production environment maintenance.
- Implement and manage event‑streaming (Kafka), databases, identity (Keycloak), and caching layers.
- Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines and self‑service developer tooling (Jenkins, Git, Terraform, ServiceNow).
- Automate infrastructure as code, pipeline builds, and event‑relay processes.
- Ensure platform compliance with security standards and ITIL‑aligned incident/problem/change management.
- Collaborate with internal and external platform teams to support scalable, resilient services.
- Integrate ServiceNow (or successor) for change, incident, request, and problem tracking.
- Support replication services, match engines, and secure data flows.
**Required Skills:**
- AWS ecosystem: EKS, RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache, IAM, Kafka.
- Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm.
- CI/CD & DevOps tools: Jenkins, Git, Terraform, ServiceNow, Trivy.
- Monitoring/Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Dynatrace.
- Secrets & identity management: HashiCorp Vault, Keycloak.
- Streaming & messaging: Apache Kafka (including replication).
- Data stores: PostgreSQL, Redis.
- Scripting/Automation: Bash, Python, Groovy, AWS Lambda.
- Experience with air‑gapped or government‑secure environments.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Security Clearance (SC) or ability to obtain it.
- Preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent cloud DevOps certifications.
