**Job Title**
Workstation Engineer
**Role Summary**
Engineer responsible for the end‑to‑end management and optimisation of the organisation’s desktop and mobile device fleets. Drives the administration of parc management tools, software catalogue operations, lifecycle processes, and ongoing operational maintenance. Collaborates closely with cross‑function squads to develop and execute short‑to‑mid‑term roadmaps, ensuring alignment with the group’s IT strategy and user‑centric service quality.
**Expectations**
- Deliver robust park‑management solutions across workstations and mobile endpoints.
- Lead continuous improvement of tools, workflows, and processes.
- Provide expert guidance on configuration, security hardening, connectivity, and nomadic access.
- Build and communicate a strategic, medium‑to‑long‑term product vision in partnership with IT architects.
- Foster proactive collaboration with the Digital Environment Service squad and close‑daily interaction with Digital Presence Service (SPN) peers.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage and maintain the configuration, deployment, and evolution of parc‑management tools.
- Operate the software catalogue, ensuring timely, accurate delivery to end users.
- Design, document, and enforce park‑management processes (standards, intake/exits, lifecycle events).
- Oversee the continuous operation and maintenance (MCO) of parc‑management tooling.
- Extend oversight to mobile devices (tablets, smartphones) within the asset‑management squad.
- Serve as primary liaison between the Workstation Core team and SPN, coordinating joint initiatives.
- Develop and track roadmaps for parc‑management capabilities, translating strategic objectives into actionable plans.
- Analyse and resolve complex technical issues across desktop and mobile platforms, delivering solutions aligned with best‑practice processes.
- Mentor and support factory staff, promoting a culture of quality, performance, and customer orientation.
**Required Skills**
- Deep understanding of endpoint architecture (workstations, smartphones, tablets).
- Proven knowledge of product delivery principles to users (on‑prem, hybrid, or cloud).
- Expertise in workstation integration: hardening, security frameworks, connectivity, and nomadic scenarios.
- Strong process‑oriented mindset: workflow design, lifecycle management, and metric‑driven improvement.
- Technical troubleshooting across OS, networking, and endpoint management platforms.
- Proactive, self‑directed with a business‑soul approach to identify opportunities amid change.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and team‑building capabilities.
- Ability to ascend to a product‑vision perspective in partnership with IT architects.

**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s/Master’s (Engineering) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, or equivalent) are advantageous but not mandatory.
