Job Description

Job title: Software Development Engineer Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain software solutions that improve operational efficiency within global fulfillment operations. Deliver applications for workstation, mobile, and web platforms, automate processes, and build real‑time dashboards to support data‑driven decision making. Expectations: * Deliver high‑quality code on time and within scope. * Take ownership of end‑to‑end product features and user stories. * Communicate progress and blockers to Product Managers and Operations teams. * Influence key performance indicators such as manual effort, response time, and fulfillment cost/speed. Key Responsibilities: * Build and maintain applications for desktop and mobile devices used in daily fulfillment workflows. * Develop web tools and real‑time dashboards to optimize resource utilization and operational processes. * Enhance services managed by Operations Engineering (e.g., Amazon Fulfillment Technologies). * Standardize and automate operational processes to reduce manual touchpoints and improve efficiency. * Influence and track scale KPIs (manual effort, response times) and core fulfillment KPIs (cost, speed, DEA, transportation capacity). * Collaborate with Product Managers, Operations teams, and engineering peers to define business solutions and technical strategies. * Conduct detailed business requirement analysis and produce comprehensive low‑level technical designs for implementation. Required Skills: * Strong programming skills in a modern object‑oriented language (Java, Python). * Experience with AWS cloud services. * Front‑end development skills in React with JavaScript/TypeScript. * Ability to autonomously drive software development and resolve technical issues. * Effective stakeholder management and communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. * Familiarity with automation, real‑time dashboards, and process optimization. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). * Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Java SE Certification) are a plus.
