**Job Title:** Senior Data Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and optimizing large‑scale Big Data processing architectures. Leads the development of advanced ETL modules, API integration, and automated workflows while applying Agile/DevOps practices to ensure robust, high‑performance data solutions for enterprise clients.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver scalable, reliable data pipelines that meet performance and quality standards.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor junior team members, and guide complex project execution.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to integrate data solutions within diverse ecosystem architectures.
- Continuously improve processes through automation and adoption of best‑in‑class tools and methodologies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design end‑to‑end architecture for Big Data processing pipelines (batch and streaming).
- Develop, test, and maintain advanced ETL processes using SQL, Python, and relevant frameworks.
- Define and implement RESTful APIs for data exposure and integration.
- Oversee deployment cycles using Agile/DevOps practices; manage CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.
- Automate critical workflows to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
- Conduct performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of data platforms.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing across the team.
**Required Skills:**
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and Git.
- Strong experience with at least three of the following: MongoDB, Snowflake, Databricks, Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Apache Kafka, Matillion, Talend, SAP, Power BI, Tableau, Kubernetes, Docker, Cloudera, AWS, GCP, Azure.
- Expertise in designing and implementing data pipelines and data warehousing solutions.
- Solid understanding of API development and integration.
- Hands‑on experience with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and containerization.
- Ability to lead complex projects and mentor junior engineers.
- Fluent English (spoken and written); additional language skills optional.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Engineer’s degree or Master’s (M2) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 + years of professional data engineering experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar) are advantageous.
