Backend Developer
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable backend services and APIs using cloud‑native microservices, integrating LLM and AI agent capabilities into production workflows.
**Expectations**
* 4+ years of backend development experience.
* Proficiency in Python or TypeScript.
* Experience deploying microservices on Microsoft Azure or AWS.
* Hands‑on Docker & Kubernetes (including ArgoCD) usage.
* Familiarity with AI agent frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, MCP) and LLM integration.
* Strong grasp of CI/CD, security, and performance optimization.
* Kanban methodology, code review participation, and collaborative development.
* Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and project‑management skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Architect, code, test, and deliver backend services and APIs.
2. Build and maintain high‑availability microservices in a cloud environment.
3. Integrate LLMs and agentic tools into backend workflows.
4. Apply TDD, clean‑code principles, and continuous integration to all projects.
5. Document system designs, APIs, and deployment procedures.
6. Contribute to modular, extensible architectures that support future growth.
7. Participate in code reviews and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
8. Ensure security best practices and performance tuning throughout the stack.
9. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product owners, architects, LLMOps) to align on architecture and deployment.
**Required Skills**
* Backend development: Python, TypeScript.
* Microservices architecture & design patterns.
* Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS (deployment & governance).
* Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD.
* CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.
* TDD, unit/integration testing, code quality tools.
* AI/LLM integration experience; knowledge of LangGraph, MCP, or similar.
* Performance profiling & optimization.
* Security best‑practice implementation.
* Agile/Kanban workflow, code review culture.
* Strong written and verbal communication.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Optional certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Developer Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or equivalent.
