Job Description
Job title: Category Manager – Fresh Products Market Role Summary: Lead procurement, negotiation, and category strategy for fresh product portfolios (dairy, meat/frozen, and traditional fresh) within the commercial division. Drive margin optimization, go‑to‑market plans, and market intelligence to support sales and growth objectives. Expectations: - Execute high‑level commercial and legal negotiations with 28 key suppliers. - Own the strategic roadmap for the LS catering segment (229 promotional units). - Spearhead pricing, assortment, and merchandising decisions to maximize shelf attractiveness and revenue. Key Responsibilities: - Negotiate and secure 30 supplier agreements, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with corporate objectives. - Develop and defend the LS catering category strategy, setting innovation and action plans. - Analyse and structure product assortments, create assortment matrices, and prepare market dossiers. - Recommend pricing and merchandising directions, driving store presentation and sales volume. - Design and manage promotional campaigns, including prospectus development and media negotiations. - Conduct proactive market and political surveillance to anticipate trends, disruptions, and growth levers. Required Skills: - Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities. - Expertise in category management, assortment planning, and pricing strategy. - Analytical mindset with proficiency in market research and competitive analysis. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional collaboration. - Proficient with category tools (matrices, dashboards) and Microsoft Office.
