**Job Title** Head of Sales (Series A Cybersecurity Scale‑Up) **Role Summary** Lead the sales organization in a $5 M ARR cybersecurity start‑up, acting as a player‑coach and CEO partner. Drive rapid ARR growth, build scalable processes, and develop a high‑performing sales team with the long‑term goal of transitioning into a Vice President of Sales. **Expectations** - Deliver aggressive new‑business acquisition and customer expansion to elevate ARR from ~$5 M to $20 M+. - Partner with executive leadership to refine and execute the go‑to‑market strategy. - Embody both individual contributor and managerial roles, delivering sales results while architecting the sales engine. **Key Responsibilities** - Prospect and close new business, expanding existing customer relationships. - Collaborate with the CEO on GTM strategy, including sales, partnership, and pipeline development. - Serve as an individual contributor while building, hiring, and mentoring a scalable sales team. - Design, implement, and refine sales processes, metrics, and performance‑management systems. - Align sales objectives with product, marketing, and customer success to maximize value delivery. - Communicate progress and insights to executive leadership, fostering a data‑driven culture. **Required Skills** - Proven record of exceeding B2B SaaS or cybersecurity sales targets. - Experience scaling ARR from ~5 M to 20 M+ in a venture‑backed environment. - Strategic thinking combined with tactical execution capability. - Strong leadership: hiring, coaching, and motivating high‑performance teams. - Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, entrepreneurial contexts. - Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to influence senior leaders. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred). - Relevant sales or product certifications (e.g., Certified Enterprise Sales Professional, SaaS sales certifications) are advantageous but not mandatory.
