Job Title: Nemo Link Technician (HVDC) Role Summary: Perform preventive maintenance, fault analysis, and repair on the HVDC submarine link between Belgium and the UK, ensuring reliable operation and strict adherence to safety standards. Expectations: Provide on‑call coverage every six weeks, support offshore repairs, collaborate closely with the System Controller, deliver safety/work instructions, and actively participate in safety and operational meetings. Key Responsibilities: - Inspect the HVDC installation and execute preventive maintenance tasks. - Conduct initial fault analysis for alarms or anomalies. - Carry out repair interventions on all components to restore service safely and efficiently. - Coordinate with the System Controller to release components for work activities. - Deliver safety and work instructions to external contractors. - Prepare work plans for annual full‑shutdown maintenance to maximise efficiency and quality. - Participate in daily operational meetings (Morning Star, 360°, knowledge transfer, team meetings). - Monitor subcontractor safety behavior and intervene on HVDC cable issues with offshore repair teams. - Serve on the duty rotation, available for emergency coverage outside normal hours and on weekends. Required Skills: - Strong analytical and practical mechanical/electrical problem‑solving skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). - Fluency in Dutch; good proficiency in English (or willingness to improve). - Ability to work independently and in a small team, reporting to the Nemo Link coordinator. - In-depth understanding of high‑voltage electrical safety risks and commitment to safety practices.
