Job Title: Electrical Designer Traineeship Role Summary: 6‑month trainee program to develop skills for a Technical Designer (Secondary Systems) in electrical infrastructure projects (30‑380 kV). Focus on design, documentation, quality control, stakeholder coordination, and on‑site support for protection, automation, and control systems. Expectations: Complete theoretical orientation, CAD design exercises, a mock project study, and multiple site/supplier visits. Acquire competence in standards, integration into existing substations, and production of accurate AutoCAD drawings. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct studies to adapt standard schematics to project specifications. - Create, review, and QC electrical drawings in AutoCAD. - Coordinate with Project Engineers, MAC technicians, and external design offices. - Distribute drawings to relevant departments and maintain documentation. - Liaise with contractors during cabinet construction and resolve issues. - Support commissioning, troubleshoot on‑site secondary system problems with Project Leader and technicians. - Participate in site and supplier visits to observe fabrication, testing, and integration.
