Job Description

**Job Title** Software Engineer **Role Summary** Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful API services and associated front‑end interfaces for a tax‑automation platform. Own end‑to‑end delivery from architecture to operations, ensuring high quality, test coverage, and performance in a rapidly evolving startup environment. **Expectations** * Fluent in English (written & spoken). * Strong ownership mindset; drive features to production responsibly. * Comfortable learning and scaling microservices at high‑growth pace. * Ship fast, iteratively, and data‑driven, while continuously improving code hygiene and documentation. **Key Responsibilities** * Build and extend REST APIs using Node.js/TypeScript or Go. * Develop front‑end components with React and TypeScript. * Design database schemas in PostgreSQL and implement migrations. * Deploy and manage services on Azure/GCP using Terraform, Kubernetes, and ArgoCD. * Monitor production with DataDog, troubleshoot, and optimize performance. * Write unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests covering all new features. * Translate customer pain points into technical solutions and product improvements. * Collaborate with product managers and cross‑functional teams in lean squads. **Required Skills** * Programming: Node.js + TypeScript, Go, React (TypeScript). * Database: PostgreSQL, SQL/ORM best practices. * Cloud & Ops: Azure, GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, CI/CD pipelines, Git. * Monitoring: DataDog, logging, alerting. * Testing: Jest, Mocha, Cypress, or equivalent. * RESTful API design and versioning. * Version control (Git), code review, automated testing. * Excellent communication and problem‑solving in a distributed team. **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field **or** equivalent hands‑on experience. * Certifications in cloud or dev‑ops (e.g., Azure/AWS/GCP, Kubernetes) are a plus but not required.
