**Job Title**: Systems Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, and support digital systems for electrical transmission and distribution stations, and industrial installations, for clients in France and abroad. Responsibilities span engineering & integration, technical support, quality assurance, client training, and process improvement in a global, high‑standard environment.
**Expectations**
- Develop and validate solutions (protective relays, controllers, measurement units, SCADA modules) in workshop and on site.
- Specification, schematic design, and refurbishment of electrical cabinets and enclosures.
- Conduct detailed studies of installations (selectivity, setting, sizing, stability, motor start‑up).
- Resolve technical incidents, provide after‑sales hotline support, and update tracking databases.
- Train clients and internal teams, support sales and engineering functions, and drive continuous improvement of processes and compliance with safety, quality, and EHS standards.
- Mentor new hires and assists in their integration.
- Travel to client sites overseas as required (short stays to several weeks).
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Engineering & Integration**
- Configure, validate, and commission protection, regulation, measurement, control‑and‑drive devices.
- Lead the design, refurbishment, and commissioning of electrical cabinets and enclosures.
- Perform expert studies on network selectivity, parameter settings, and equipment performance.
2. **Technical Support & Quality**
- Track and resolve hardware/software anomalies.
- Provide after‑sales support (hotline, on‑site interventions).
- Maintain traceability of installed software and databases.
3. **Training, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement**
- Deliver training to clients and internal staff.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and technical leads.
- Suggest and implement process improvements and ensure adherence to internal standards.
**Required Skills**
- Strong knowledge of Ethernet networks and configuration of related components.
- Experience with cybersecurity fundamentals and communication protocols (IEC 60870‑5‑103/101/104, Modbus, IEC 61850‑1).
- Programming aptitude and proficiency with Linux, Windows, and Unix operating systems.
- Advanced Excel skills, automated reporting.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
- Proactive, rigorous, autonomous, and technically curious.
- Fluent in English (technical and non‑technical).
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Graduate of a recognized engineering school or university with specialization in Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnique, Power Systems, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant systems engineering experience in power or industrial automation.
