Job Title: Network Architect
Role Summary:
Design, deploy, and support enterprise network infrastructure for corporate real estate initiatives—including greenfield builds, expansions, relocations, and transformations—while ensuring adherence to organizational standards, best practices, and security requirements.
Expectations:
Deliver scalable, resilient network solutions that align with project objectives and timelines. Provide accurate documentation, budget estimates, and post‑deployment transition support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement LAN, WLAN, WAN, and SD‑WAN solutions for new facilities, expansions, relocations, and co‑locations.
- Collaborate with project managers and facilities teams to translate site layouts and MEP diagrams into detailed network designs.
- Prepare Bills of Materials, configure routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and access points.
- Execute network upgrades, performance enhancements, and security hardening as part of approved projects.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including Transition‑to‑Operations (TTO) records.
- Conduct site surveys, installations, configuration management, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise networks.
- Support additional network‑related tasks within evolving real estate programs.
Required Skills:
- Network fundamentals: routing, switching, subnetting, VLANs, STP, VTP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
- Proven experience designing resilient topologies, SD‑WAN, and secure network architectures.
- Proficiency with Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto platforms and associated networking equipment.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles—firewalls, VPNs, secure design practices.
- Scripting/automation (Python, Ruby, Perl) for network task automation.
- Ability to translate physical site plans into logical network layouts.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Professional certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+.
- Advanced certifications (CCIE, JNCIE‑ENT) are a plus.
