**Job Title:** Intelligence Lead – Security & Privacy, GenAI
**Role Summary:**
Lead intelligence operations for DeepMind’s Security & Privacy organization, providing tactical and strategic insights on AI‑related threats, risks, and opportunities. Drive the intelligence function’s long‑term strategy, deliver timely intelligence to support investigations, and cultivate relationships with senior leaders, external partners, and industry peers.
**Expectations:**
- Manage end‑to‑end intelligence delivery cycle.
- Influence decision‑making through clear, concise executive communication.
- Maintain up‑to‑date awareness of the evolving AI security landscape.
- Lead and coordinate with cross‑functional stakeholders and third‑party vendors.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Identify opportunities and provide strategic guidance to research and product teams on AI threats, risks, and opportunities.
- Define and implement the long‑term intelligence strategy, aligning plans, priorities, and resources with broader organizational goals.
- Deliver timely intelligence to support internal investigations and risk management initiatives.
- Build trusted relationships with senior leaders across DeepMind and Alphabet; provide actionable recommendations.
- Manage external relationships with public sector representatives and industry peers for intelligence sharing and collaboration.
- Apply analytic methods to assess changes in adversary capabilities, motivations, and intent, delivering insights that mitigate risks proactively.
- Lead crisis response and threat assessment efforts, collecting, evaluating, and disseminating accurate intelligence to stakeholders.
**Required Skills:**
- 10+ years in analytical fields such as risk intelligence, threat analysis, competitive intelligence, crisis management, or business continuity.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in fast‑changing research environments and drive process improvements and tooling efficiencies.
- Strong executive communication—synthesizing complex details into concise, actionable insights.
- Experience managing third‑party providers, budgets, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Ability to lead by influence, balancing coaching and direction without micromanaging.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in international affairs, political science, security studies, history, intelligence, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant government security clearance (preferred).
- Master’s degree and AI/ML fundamentals knowledge (advantageous).
