**Job Title**
Senior Remote Sensing Space Systems Technical Manager
**Role Summary**
Lead the technical management of end‑to‑end remote sensing space projects for defense and security customers. Own architecture definition, feasibility, procurement, construction, and operations support across EO, SAR, and other sensing technologies.
**Expectations**
- Deliver technically sound, commercially viable system architectures and cost estimates.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams and external contractors in an international setting.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders through reports and presentations.
- Ensure all project phases meet design, test, acceptance, and operational specifications.
- Travel globally to client and contractor sites as required.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Requirements & Architecture** – Capture customer needs, generate high‑level system requirements, and define architecture trade‑offs.
2. **Feasibility & Cost Analysis** – Assess feasibility, perform cost/benefit trade‑offs, and provide system cost estimates.
3. **Procurement & Contracting** – Draft ground system specifications, evaluate industry proposals, and negotiate contracts.
4. **Construction Oversight** – Monitor industrial contracts for design, build, integration, test, and commissioning.
5. **Operations & Training** – Define concept of operations, oversee operational support, and deliver training.
6. **Technical Due Diligence** – Review proposals, perform verification/validation of mission procedures.
7. **Stakeholder Engagement** – Interface with customers, conduct project reviews, workshops, and present at conferences.
8. **Reporting & Documentation** – Produce technical reports and tailored PowerPoint presentations for various audiences.
**Required Skills**
- Deep knowledge of EO (MSI/HSI/VNIR/SWIR/TIR), SAR, ELINT, Lidar, and optional laser communications.
- System engineering, requirement management, operations, and cost engineering.
- Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team leadership.
- Adaptability, autonomy, and global travel readiness.
- Fluent in English.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Remote Sensing, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience in remote sensing space instruments/systems.
- Minimum 5 years of technical project management in an international environment.
