**Job Title**
HRIS Specialist (Contract)
**Role Summary**
Provide strategic HRIS support and implementation expertise to enable seamless HR processes across North America. Focus on maintaining, enhancing, and transitioning HR systems to Workday while partnering with HR, IT, Finance, and data privacy teams to deliver high‑value employee experiences.
**Expectations**
- 50 % HRIS maintenance & improvement projects
- 30 % project & account management (implementations, staffing, resource planning)
- 20 % support & collaboration (documentation, user assistance, system administration)
**Key Responsibilities**
- Administer, customize, upgrade, and optimize HCM systems (Workday, Dayforce, ServiceNow) and related modules (Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Time, Payroll).
- Identify and implement system enhancements, automate workflows, and integrate with business processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, data security, and privacy requirements.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for HRIS suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
- Lead or participate in Workday implementation teams (Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Time, Payroll, ServiceNow).
- Translate business needs into prioritized project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Manage account administration: permissions, access, personalization, and security settings.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training to HR and business users.
- Produce HR documentation for reporting and process standardization across countries.
- Collaborate with HRBP and cross‑functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
**Required Skills**
- Strong HR functional and technical knowledge (organizational administration, HCM modules).
- 5 + years HRIS support/implementation experience in HCM and payroll systems (Workday and/or Dayforce).
- 2 + years customer‑service or HR support experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence and mediate.
- Project management, prioritization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Familiarity with data privacy and security best practices.
- Proficiency in English; additional language fluency is a plus.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Human Resources Management, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience with Workday HCM Suite and/or Dayforce (certification not mandatory but preferred).
