Job Description
Job Title: PCB Quality Engineer Role Summary: Contract position focused on ensuring printed circuit boards and assemblies comply with IPC-A‑600, IPC-A‑610, and ISO 9001 standards. Drives continuous improvement through audits, data analysis, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation. Collaborates with engineering and design teams to solve quality issues and maintain quality procedures. Expectations: Must possess 5+ years of experience in PCB manufacturing, assembly, or electronics quality. Demonstrated expertise in IPC standards, ISO 9001, and statistical quality tools. Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities: • Inspect and audit bare and assembled PCBs against IPC‑A‑600/610 guidelines. • Monitor quality metrics, yields, and defect trends; identify improvement opportunities. • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). • Develop, maintain, and enforce quality procedures for PCB fabrication and assembly. • Collaborate with engineering and design departments to resolve technical quality issues. • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and related quality standards. Required Skills: • 5+ years in PCB manufacturing, assembly, or electronics quality. • In‑depth knowledge of IPC standards (A‑600, A‑610) and quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100). • Proficiency in inspection, RCA, and statistical quality tools. • Experience with PCB design software (e.g., Altium) and reliability testing. • Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering field. • Optional: IPC or ISO certification (Lead Auditor, Process Auditor) preferred.
